A NOTE FROM THE FOUNDER

BLKTRNET has been quiet for a while, and I wanted to offer a little transparency about why.

Alongside work and motherhood, I am currently in the final stages of completing my PhD research focused on translation, Black literature and cultural circulation, work which is also deeply connected to the wider vision and foundations behind BLKTRNET itself.

As a result, some parts of the network have inevitably slowed down over the past year, including replies to applications, messages and plans for future programming. However, I want to reassure everyone that BLKTRNET is still very much alive and remains deeply important to me.

I’ve seen and appreciated every application, message and expression of support that has come through during this period, even when I haven’t always had the capacity to respond.

Rather than rushing growth, my intention is to build this network sustainably, thoughtfully and with care. My current focus is completing the PhD well, while continuing to slowly shape the next chapter of BLKTRNET in a way that is intentional, meaningful and long-lasting.
